This is my process:
I. Book the date.
Online consultation and question air to help me get to know you a little better, a date, time and location will be agreed upon with a contract signed to reserve your date. Sessions scheduled on Mondays or Thursdays from May through October.
Clients have access to an online styling service included with their session to help their session stand out. Feel free to purchase outfits from the service or use it as a guide with similar clothes you may already have.
II. Take photos.
All sessions are scheduled late evening for best available lighting and lasts about an hour. I will focus on mostly candid moments with a touch of traditional styled photos, emotions, and connections with your loved ones in an outdoor setting. I use soft lighting and earthy tones to add a cohesive and inviting feel to your images which helps to convey a sense of authenticity and heartfelt storytelling.
III. Deliver memories.
My favorite photos from your session will be edited with my signature styling and delivered to you with an average of 3 - 6 weeks depending on season.
Photos will be digitally delivered through a private online photo gallery. Option for physical photos to purchase also available through professional print labs.
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
No worries! I will guide you throughout the session with light prompting. I may ask you to stroke your kids hair, or look up towards the light, or jump on your loves back and hold on for dear life!
What should I wear?
Don't over think this one, less is more. Stay away from heavy pattern, keep colors in the neutral color pallets. You can google "Earth Tones" for ideas on colors to match with. These colors go best with my editing style. Try to refrain from bright colors. I also include a free online self styling service with your session.
How many pictures will I receive?
You will receive a minimum of 20 hand painted photos with my signature styling.
What if we need to reschedule or weather isn't right?
Reschedules incur a charge, however if weather is not permitting given rain or excessive heat, we will reschedule your session with no issue.
Do I have to purchase photos through you?
Your session comes included with high resolution digital downloads. I also offer the option for you to order physical prints through some of the best professional print labs in the country or you are free to print on your own!
Can we schedule a mid day session, my kids go to bed early?
Unfortunately no, my style of photography uses soft light to achieve my signature edits which typically is around sunset or sunrise.
